Description

Aspirating Dental Syringe, 1.8 ml

An aspirating dental syringe is a tool used by dentists to administer local anesthetics during dental procedures. The syringe is designed to hold a cartridge containing the anesthetic solution and allows for precise delivery into the tissue around the area of treatment.

Features:
Compatibility with Standardized Cartridges (1.8 ml): The 1.8 ml size is the standard capacity for most dental anesthetic cartridges. The syringe is compatible with these, whether they have a solid rubber plunger or a recessed plunger. This flexibility makes it easier to use with a variety of cartridge brands, which is a great benefit for dental professionals who need versatility in their tools.
Rotatable Cartridge Holder: The rotatable cartridge holder is a particularly helpful feature. It allows the dentist to view the cartridge from any angle. This is especially important when checking.
The aspiration process: Ensuring that no blood is aspirated (which would indicate the needle is in a blood vessel) before administering the anesthetic.
The volume of the injected solution: Ensuring the correct dose is delivered, which is crucial for both effectiveness and patient safety. The ability to rotate the cartridge holder can also improve visibility and ease of handling during procedures, especially when precision is key.
Chromium-Plated Syringe: The chromium plating gives the syringe a sleek, durable finish. Chromium plating is often used because it makes the instrument resistant to corrosion and wear, which is particularly important in a high-hygiene environment like a dental office.
Easy to dismantle: This makes cleaning and sterilizing the syringe more efficient. Proper sterilization is critical in dental settings to prevent cross-contamination between patients. The ability to take apart the syringe ensures thorough cleaning, which helps maintain its function and hygiene over time.

Instructions for use:
1) In the 1st Step withdraw the piston rod completely. This allows you to prepare the syringe for aspiration (the process of checking for blood flow to ensure you’re not in a blood vessel).
2) In 2nd Step load/insert the cartridge (usually containing 1.8 mL of local anesthetic) into the syringe barrel for injection.
3) In 3rd Step Screw the spiral hooks clockwise into the rubber plunger by applying light pressure. It ensures that the spiral hooks securely hold the cartridge’s rubber stopper in place, allowing the syringe to function properly.
4) Fix the needle. Please ensure that the cartridge end of the needle pierces the centre of the rubber membrane. It is advisable to insert the needle just prior to injecting. Expel a few drops of the solution. Before injecting, check that the aspiration help is firmly and correctly positioned in the barrel used. The syringe is now ready for use.
5) At the end after Injection, detach the needle and remove the Spiral hooks from the rubber plunger. Fully retract the piston and remove the cartridge.

Precautions:
Syringes must be sterilized prior to use. See the sterilization instructions..
Do not mix with metals in sterilization, other non chrome-plated brass instruments may cause damage to syringes.
Do not use cold sterilants, as they will react to the chrome plating of the syringe.
Keep needle capped while affixing or removing from syringe.

Cleaning & Sterilization Instructions:
1. Remove all traces of blood, saliva, and anesthesia solution.
2. Remove paraffine that has accumulated on the harpoon
3. Syringes are supplied non-sterile and must be sterilized prior to each use.
4. Syringes should not be sterilized with other instruments to avoid syringe damage.
5. Before each use, sterilize and inspect instrument. (see sterilization guide for more details)
6. Do not use cold sterilants, as they will react to the chrome plating of the syringe.
